The Organisers Allan and Suzie Fox have extensive experience of organising medical courses and have organised a postgraduate medical course since 1992. Dr Allan Fox is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners They decided to set up Medicourses in 2004 after their son attended a rather disappointing and expensive medical course a considerable distance from the South East and recognised the need for a high quality, practical course in the South, Medicourses was born......
Making it fun
We wanted to ensure that students were not herded into large lecture theatres for hours on end listening to poor quality lecturers.
The emphasis is very much on the practical aspects of medicine and the course will be spent learning some of the skills of a doctor. We have an array of equipment that would put many hospital skills laboratories in the shade. Endoscopes costing thousands of pounds, endoscopic models, xrays, advanced resuscitation equipment, ophthalmoscopes, models for pneumothorax recovery, intubation mannequins, eye and ear examination models, a heart and lung sound generator model, and human models to examine.
